It can be argued that many visit Italy for the food. With Rome serving as the Italian capital, it is no wonder why so many tourists visit Rome. Rome also happens to be a capital of the art world, and in our cooking classes you will see why. In our classes you will learn how to sculpt pasta in the same city where great sculptors were born and trained. Or learn how to make a pizza the Italian way and never have to order in pizza again. However, not all of our classes are confined in the kitchen! In some of our classes we invite you to explore the Roman countryside and visit a local winery, or visit a local Italian market to pick out your ingredients to cook with.

We had a wonderful time learning from Marco at our pizza and gelato class while visiting Rome. We enjoyed learning new techniques and recipes from a true Italian. Wonderful experience, highly recommend!

The class was amazing! Our instructor was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, which made the class very enjoyable and fun. We made fresh pasta and tiramisu and were treated with complementary Prosecco as well. Highly recommended!

Igor was my chef, he is an adorable, kind, helpful, polite and The most important an amazing real italian chef!! "Delicious recipes taught by a professional chef"
My husband and I attended a course at So Cook!, led by Sabina. She was friendly, professional and an excellent teacher. She patiently answered all of our questions and has even given additional advice by email.
We specifically looked for a course that taught how to make risotto, which was explained step-by-step. First she demonstrated the recipe so that even inexperienced cooks could follow along, and then we prepared the dish by ourselves.
We also made pasta by hand, as well as a delicious, easy tomato sauce.
Sabina's cooking school is easily available by public transportation. We took bus 87 from the area of Piazza Navona in the center of Rome, and the ride took approximately 45 minutes. There is also a metro stop not far from the school.
I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in authentic Italian cooking.

We had a wonderful time on our market and pizza tour! Our tour guide was brilliant - so knowledgeable about the history of Rome and the areas she took us to. The market tastings were sensational and it was amazing to taste such authentic Italian food, especially in the butcher. We then moved onto a pizza making class at a nearby restaurant and our chef was friendly and fun! The pizzas were delicious and we got to try bruschetta too! Highly recommend this tour.

The class was awesome. It was really fun and the teacher and translator were really friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating for dietary requirements (my husband and I are vegetarians and there was a vegan in our group) and they were great. Would highly recommend as a way to see outside of Roma a bit and learn to make pasta.

Marco was an excellent host and taught us several new techniques and tricks even within the first few minutes. He was very friendly, funny, and I’m sure this will be one of the highlights of our visit to Rome. And, of course, the food was excellent! I would HIGHLY recommend doing this class.

"Highlight of Rome experience!"
We had such an amazing evening at this class, the most memorable experience of our entire trip! The host and staff were so welcoming, made everyone feel at ease and made the experience so much fun! I was a little apprehensive taking this class as a vegan however they were so accomodating and I was able to make alternatives of everything that the rest of the class made! Someone in our group was gluten free and they were again accomodating of this in the same way. The meal at the end of the class was amazing, everything turned out great and it was great to sit down and get to know everyone in the class and the host a little more over a few drinks! I cannot recommend this class enough!

My niece flew in from Canada and I wanted to take her on an Italian country side adventure. She loved every minute of the adventure from being picked up at the train station to making pizza and realizing that this is what they mean by relax and enjoy life.

"Highlight of our Trip"
We arrived and were immediately greeted by our amazing host Jo. She was so welcoming and taught us so much of the rich history of the town Frascati.
Alfredo and his family greeted us at their home which is absolutely beautiful. Chef Luigi put on a master class where we made pasta from scratch and enjoyed eating it paired with wines. Everything tasted amazing. The wine and vineyard were really special.
The hospitality from Jo and Alfredo was second to none I can’t recommend this enough I will be telling anyone that visits.

"Authentic, relaxed & great fun"
We loved the countryside location in a family run farm house. The Family were so welcoming and made us feel instantly at ease. The food and wine were lovely and the instruction for the cookery class was given with a sense of fun and was really enjoyable. Jo, or joyful Jo as we came to know her, made the day very memorable. A wonderful lady who charmed us with her knowledge and passion for the country and Frascati in particular. Thank you to everyone involved in the day.

We had the best time cooking and eating with Claudia and her family and friends. She modified her recipes to suit our dietary needs. Unlike other classes I saw online, she not only taught us to cook the pastas but also the sauces, appetizer and dessert. The best part though was enjoying the meal with her lovely family. Her mother serenaded us and her husband, Bruno, played a short concert on his keyboards. Fantastic day!

"Thank you Francesca!"
We had the most fantastic evening with Francesca! With our expert guiding us, we made spinach and ricotta ravioli, bolognese fettuccine and tiramisu, using a mixture of machine technique and traditional technique. Last but not least, we sat down together with Francesca and the other two students on our course to enjoy it paired with the perfect local wines. Francesca kindly sent us the recipes of what we had made together the following day. This experience was a highlight of our visit to Rome, and we felt so welcome and at home. We came home and bought a pasta roller the same week, and cant wait to experiment. We can only say thank you so much Francesca! Xx
