Once arrive at our cooking school in the heart of Palermo, you will be greeted by a local chef who will be our guide for the day. You will start your experience with a visit to a famous market of Palermo, “Mercato del Capo” where you can discover the culinary delights that this city offers. As we walk through the market, our guide will introduce you to the local vendors and their fresh produce, seafood, meat, and cheese. We will learn about the unique ingredients used in traditional Sicilian cuisine and discover how to choose the best ingredients for our recipes. You will have the opportunity to personally buy local products, chosen according to the season, which will allow you to make some of the dishes of the tradition of Palermo. Together with your personal chef, you will feel like a Sicilian food expert for a moment! . You will be introduced to the flavors of Sicily, learning how to choose and distinguish fresh ingredients that you will use during your cooking class.

A COOKING CLASS TO DISCOVER THE CULINARY SPECIALTIES OF PALERMO
After the market stops, it will be time to put your apron on and start your cooking class! Your professional chef will make you learn to create some of the typical dishes of the culinary culture of Sicily, in the highly entertaining way which is typical of our cooking classes! You will then have the opportunity to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on experience preparing the dishes yourselves, with the chef guiding you every step of the way. As we cook, we will learn about the history and cultural significance of each dish, as well as tips and techniques for creating delicious and authentic Sicilian cuisine.

During your cooking class in Palermo, you will prepare a 3-course meal: just to mention some of the Sicilian specialties that you might prepare during this experience (the menu may vary according to seasonal ingredients available), you may discover the secrets of "arancini”, fried rice meatballs filled with meat sauce and peas, homemade Pasta alla norma, dressed with tomato sauce, fried eggplants, and salted ricotta, to end with the most famous Sicilian dessert: cannoli!
