Join us for an evening on our organic farm, where you’ll learn to cook traditional Balinese dishes in one of the island’s finest culinary spots. Located just north of Ubud, about a 30-40 minute drive, our farm is part of a community project dedicated to preserving organic farming and supporting the local village.

Our cooking class includes vegan and vegetarian options, making it perfect for those with a passion for organic ingredients and plant-based cuisine.

Base Gede (Traditional spices paste)
Sayur Urab (Mix green salad with coconut and spice)
Opor Ayam (Balinese Chicken curry)
Sate Lilit (Traditional Balinese Kebab made with meat and Balinese spice paste)
Pindang with Sambal Matah (fish with raw sauce)
Tempe Asam Manis (Sweet Sour Temple)
Black Rice Pudding or Pisang Goreng (Our Banana fritters with coconut and palm sugar syrup or black rice pudding)

" This is a special cooking class for those who are interested in seeing the beautiful countryside of Ubud and spending time in a relaxing organic farm. "

What I liked: I really enjoyed being surrounded by so much greenery! It’s special to be so deep in nature, especially while you’re in Ubud. I also enjoyed that we cooked and learned all the dishes and made them all by hand in a relaxing environment.

What to know: This cooking class offers vegan and vegetarian classes and I would highly recommend this class to anyone with a special interest in organic produce.

Good for: People into the slow and natural life

How to get there: Pick up and drop off is offered by the cooking school.

Very good organised in a beautiful setting!

It is a very nice setting at the farm! We picked our own vegetables for the cooking class, which made it a very nice experience! Very nice staff who helped us!

It was a blast

this course was more then expected. Good driver took us up from Ubud to the location in the forest/djungel. The facility was really well and had everything you needed to make a delicious dinner. Staff was so polite and nice and supporting and knowledge and good to explain the ingrediencies.

What a great day!

We thoroughly enjoyed our half day cooking class at Taman Dukuh Bali Farm Cooking School. They even collected us from our hotel and returned us there at the end of the day! Our host was charming, knowledgeable and spoke the best English of anyone we've met on our holiday so far! We loved the setting (peaceful and in the jungle) and being able to learn about all of the crops that the farm grew as we gathered the ingredients to be able to make our meal. The format was relaxed and really enjoyable with plenty of time to enjoy a welcome drink and to chat to the other guests on the course. We were able to participate in a wide variety of activities including chopping ingredients, making a spice paste (the traditional way in a pestle and mortar) and cooking all of the dishes together under the expert guidance of our host. The farm provided us with a hard copy of all of the dishes we made as well as a highlights video too we can continue to cherish our memories of the day. What a thoroughly enjoyable way to make and eat authentic and delicious Balinese food and a great value-for-money experience. Without doubt, one of the absolute highlights of our holiday!
