An excellent cooking experience

The chef is outgoing, engaging and humourous as well as being skilled with food, and his wife and staff make everyone feel very welcome. It was a wonderful experience, giving us insights into Japanese cooking techniques and resulting in delicious food. We wholeheartedly recommend this experience for anyone visiting Naha on the lovely island of Okinawa.. So much fun!

We had such a great time welcoming your family and making ramen and gyoza together at our restaurant in central Naha. We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed Chef Hisa’s humour, the Japanese cooking techniques, and the warm atmosphere created by our team.

Our goal is to make Japanese cooking enjoyable, relaxed, and accessible for the whole family. We hope the practical techniques and simple ingredients will make it easy for you to recreate the ramen and gyoza at home and remember your time in Okinawa.

One of the highlights of my trip!

It wasn’t just about cooking – I learned a lot about Japanese culture too. The kitchen was clean and welcoming, and the food we made was delicious!

Clear & Hands-On Sushi Experience with Chef Hisashi

Great class with clear instructions in English. I loved the hands-on approach and the small group setting. The chef Hisashi even gave tips on ingredient substitutes for back home. Definitely worth it!"

One of our goals is to help guests enjoy Japanese cooking not only during their time in Okinawa, but also after returning home. Chef Hisashi is always happy to suggest practical ingredient substitutes, so the dishes can be recreated using ingredients that are easier to find in each guest’s home country.
