5 GIANT STARS!!! I would give this class 10 stars if I could. :) A girlfriend and I signed up for this cooking class during our one-week vacation in Bali after 3 weeks of doing a cultural exchange/teaching program in Java. After spending an entire month in Indonesia, I can say that tonight's cooking class is at the top of the list for the best experiences we have had in this beautiful country. The setting is serene, the hosts are friendly and entertaining, everything on the menu is delicious... I could go on and on. Puspa and Wayan were incredibly accommodating to my tree nut allergy and vegetarian lifestyle. Everything we made was nut-free and vegan. There wasn't a single dish that we had to skip due to dietary restrictions, which is very rare, even when eating in my home country! With a severe tree nut allergy, I have honestly been very nervous to eat at most places in Indonesia, but I felt comfortable eating here since they were so careful to ensure that was no cross-contamination, and the entire group simply excluded tree nuts from all menu items. As an added perk, you get a copy of all recipes to take home with you so that you can recreate the meal at home! Thank you, thank you, thank you for an unforgettable evening and experience in Ubud!!!
